Description
The Worship Associate supports the vision and execution of worship ministry at Cross Church by helping create engaging, Christ-centered worship environments across services and gatherings. This role assists in planning and leading worship, developing and caring for worship team members, coordinating rehearsals, and supporting production collaboration to ensure excellence each week. The Worship Associate helps cultivate a healthy team culture, recruits and develops volunteers, and contributes creatively to service flow, special events, and next-generation environments. This position requires musical proficiency, spiritual maturity, relational leadership, and a commitment to advancing the mission of Cross Church by helping people encounter Jesus through worship.
Requirement
Demonstrates musical excellence and proficiency (vocals and instrument)
• Experience leading worship in a church setting
• Strong stage presence with the ability to engage a congregation
• Ability to plan and prepare worship sets aligned with teaching themes
• Comfortable using Planning Center and basic worship/production technology
• Able to recruit, develop, and disciple volunteer team members
• Clear communicator both on and off the platform
• Organized and detail-oriented in rehearsal preparation and follow-through
• Emotionally healthy and handles feedback well
• Aligns with the theology and vision of Cross Church
• Flexible and adaptable in live environments
• Protects the unity and culture of the worship team
