Description
Our Volunteer Coordinator helps welcome and support volunteers, coordinate daily volunteer activities, build relationships with churches and organizations, manage volunteer opportunities and records, assist with programs and events, and help create a meaningful volunteer experience where everyone feels welcomed, valued, productive, and dignified in their service.
• Supports daily volunteer activities and projects across all programs
• Welcomes and checks-in all volunteers when they arrive to BBHH
• Conducts orientation/overview of BBHH, and gives tours (if time allows) for all new volunteers
• Helps with volunteer inquiries via email, phone and in-person
• Oversees BBHH's Give Pulse volunteer management system, including creating volunteer opportunities, maintaining volunteer records, checking volunteers in, entering attendance and registration data, and generating reports to track volunteer engagement and participation.
• Contributes to the success of the volunteer experience by ensuring all volunteers feel productive and dignified in their service
• Works alongside Volunteer Manager and Grocery Store Coordinator in Grocery Store and other events/programs when volunteers are minimal
• Helps create monthly routes/packets for Home Delivery volunteers
• Works with appropriate staff to ensure volunteers are properly trained in their areas of service
• Takes pictures, interviews volunteers, and records videos to promote the volunteer experience at BBHH on website and social media
• Presents a positive image as a representative of Brother Bill’s Helping Hand, and more importantly Christ, during daily interactions with volunteers
• Works to keep volunteers properly informed about the BBHH mission and volunteer opportunities and requirements, through orientation/appreciation meetings and the utilization of volunteer manuals and flyers

Requirement
•Enthusiasm, teamwork focused, and strong customer service orientation
• Well organized and detail oriented – able to execute action items identified in meetings
• Self- motivated and able to work independently
• Flexible and able to multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 1-2 years of relevant experience in the non-profit sector preferred
• Excellent planning, administrative & organizational skills; time management efficiency and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; effectively engage audiences
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Word, Excel & PowerPoint
