Job Summary:
The Partner Engagement Specialist (PES) plays a key role in advancing OurCalling’s mission by cultivating, stewarding, and expanding meaningful relationships with church partners, corporate partners, and affinity groups. Working closely with the Partner Engagement Manager (PEM), Donor Engagement Coordinator (DEC), Chief Advancement Officer (CAO), and Volunteer Engagement Manager (VEM), the PES helps design and execute tailored engagement strategies that integrate giving, volunteering, advocacy, and hands-on experiences. This role ensures consistent, impact-focused communication with current partners, activates new pathways for involvement among prospective supporters, and represents OurCalling in various outreach and relationship-building settings. Through strategic collaboration, event coordination, and personalized engagement, the PES strengthens partner relationships, grows OurCalling’s donor base, and clearly communicates the organization’s mission, programs, and impact to inspire sustained investment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage Church Partners
- Support the PEM in developing church engagement strategies and communications, keeping them informed of leadership relationships and opportunities
- Maintain quarterly communication with all churches that financially support OurCalling, sharing impact updates, organizational needs, and engagement opportunities
- Collaborate with the VEM to engage churches that volunteer but do not give financially
- Develop and implement tailored engagement strategies that include financial gifts, donation drives, leadership training/speaking, volunteer opportunities, and support during inclement weather
- Represent OurCalling at church missions fairs, tabling events, and other outreach activities, coordinating logistics with church staff
- Engage Corporate Partners
- Support the DEC in developing corporate engagement strategies and communications, keeping the DEC informed of leadership relationships and opportunities
- Maintain bi-annual communication with all corporations that financially support OurCalling, sharing impact updates, organizational needs, and engagement opportunities
- Collaborate with the VEM to engage corporations that volunteer but do not give financially
- Develop and implement tailored engagement strategies that include financial gifts, donation drives, Lunch & Learns, volunteer opportunities, Gala sponsorship, and support during inclement weather
- Represent OurCalling at Lunch & Learns, tabling events, donation drives, and other corporate partner events, coordinating logistics with corporate liaison
- Engage Affinity Groups
- Partner with PEM and the CAO to develop and execute engagement strategies for affinity groups, starting with families with school-aged children
- Collaborate with VEM to plan and organize monthly volunteer opportunities for families and affinity groups
- Support the development and ongoing engagement of special councils (e.g., Family Engagement, Young Adults, Tech) to deepen engagement and expand OurCalling’s donor base
- Plan and execute small-scale events (kit packing, Q&A sessions, staff presentations) in donors’ homes, churches, and at OurCalling
- General Advancement
- Lead procurement of auction and/or raffle items for OurCalling’s annual Light Up the Streets Gala, including high-value solicitations and partnerships with donors and affinity groups to secure items
- Act as the liaison for the Advancement Department with the Volunteer Team (People) and the Resource Team (Operations) to facilitate donor inquiries and engagement
- Clearly communicate OurCalling’s mission, programs, impact, and unique initiatives to current and prospective donors
Requirement
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, required
- 1–3 years of fundraising, advancement, or community relations experience, ideally in a faith-based nonprofit or ministry, required
Skills and Abilities:
- Gracious, welcoming, and relational, reflecting humility, compassion, and hospitality
- Skilled at building trust and engaging constituents, including high-net-worth supporters
- Strong communication skills—written and verbal—with attention to detail and organization
- Professional, discreet, and capable of handling confidential information
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, for events and engagement opportunities
- Appreciates the impact and value of philanthropy in the Dallas community
